On tour your PIEPS beacon is exposed to extreme conditions such as sub-zero temperatures and humidity.
Therefore we recommend a device service of your PIEPS beacon at the manufacturer after 3 years of use.

Why to service your PIEPS beacon?
- If you are on tour, your PIEPS beacon is exposed to extreme conditions such as sub-zero temperatures and humidity.
- In accordance to EN 300718, your PIEPS beacon meets the highest technical demands and standards. Despite technology the equipment is subject to aging.
- For your own safety, please service your PIEPS beacon as you would your vehicle.
How often you should service your PIEPS beacon?
PIEPS recommends a Device Service at the manufacturer after 3 years of use.
- First service after 3 years from the date of purchase
- Second service after 5 years from the date of purchase
- After that annually
Which performance specifications are included in the PIEPS device service?
- Inspection of the device
- Inspection of the antennas
- Inspection of all transmitting parameters (frequency, pulse length, period length, signal strength)
- Inspection of the receiving performance
- Inspection of the mechanical parts (slider, button…)
- Visual inspection
- Inspection of the system configuration and firmware
- Update to the latest firmware (except PIEPS FREERIDE)
- Inspection report
How much is a PIEPS device service?
The costs are € 35, - per device (incl. 20% VAT) plus postage.
There can be shipping problems due to the Covid-19 situation.
