As the inventor and technology leader of avalanche beacons, PIEPS can look back on a long tradition of innovation.

As early as 1968, the company developed the first avalanche transceiver together with the Graz University of Technology, which was then launched on the market in 1971. In 2003, Pieps brought the first three-antenna device with digital signal processing to production.
