The PIEPS JETFORCE BT is the only airbag system on the market with an automatic deflation function.
Three minutes after deployment, the system automatically deflates the airbag, creating additional air space around the head and upper body – a decisive safety advantage in the event of a burial or secondary avalanche.
A study with 12 fully buried participants clearly demonstrated the effect: 11 participants were able to remain under 1.5 m of snow for 60 minutes without critical drops in oxygen saturation. Only one participant ended the test early as a precaution after 48 minutes at her own request. At the same time, CO₂ levels remained within the normal range in all but one participant.
In a real emergency, the JETFORCE BT can provide valuable additional time for rescue.

AN AVALANCHE AIRBAG MINIMIZES THE CRITICAL RISK OF BURIAL:
170 liters: The Jetforce creates a breathing cavity this large after the automatic airbag deflation. In case of a critical burial, an existing breathing cavity increases the probability of survival:
- with a respiratory cavity 1.5 – 2 hours
