 Helpful additional benefits! Units with OPTION-PACK can be switched from TRANSMIT mode to OPTION mode by pressing the OPTIONS button three times. You can now switch between the respective functions by pressing the OPTIONS button: - Temperature display
Switch between °F and °C using SCAN - Compass
After insertion of new batteries, the compass needs to be calibrated internally. This is also necessary if the unit is subject to large temperature fluctuations. Calibration is started using SCAN ("CAL" flashes). Then you rotate the unit completely through 360°. Finally, press OPTION. - Bearing compass
The bearing can be changed using SCAN. The flashing bearing default can be set using MARK (+) and SCAN (-). Then finish with OPTION. - Altimeter
The altimeter display can be adapted to the prevailing air pressure. Press SCAN. The displayed height can be changed using MARK (+) and SCAN (-). Simultaneous pressing of MARK and SCAN zeros the setting. Then finish with OPTION. By pressing and holding the OPTION button (approx. 3 seconds) the unit switches back to TRANSMIT mode and re-transmits the PIEPS signal.
For safety reasons, the unit automatically switches to TRANSMIT mode after two minutes. It switches after 30 seconds in the event of low battery capacity. IMPORTANT: Ensure that the unit remains connected via the safety strap to the carrying frame and to your body.
